BMW has released these engines in several revisions. To simplify, the Kelford team has named these revisions Gen 1, Gen 1.5 & Gen 2. Please review B58 Engine Compatibility Here.

Please note: All camshafts must be installed by a professional engine builder, using the provided camshaft specification sheet. The builder is responsible for verifying piston-to-valve clearance and setting engine timing according to the cam card specifications, not the factory settings.

270° / 268° - 10.30mm / 10.15mm Valve Lift

270°/268° cams to suit BMW's Gen 1 B58 engine with bolt on intake, exhaust and turbo upgrades. For an engine producing around 550-750hp running a 58-68mm turbo. Still maintains full use of Valvetronic and Double VANOS for good throttle response and wide power band. Must have valve spring upgrade.

285° / 280° - 10.30mm / 10.60mm Valve Lift

285°/280° stage 2 racing cams for professionally built BMW Gen 1 B58 engine making 750hp-1000hp. Turbo sizing 62-72mm. Great with aftermarket intake plenums. Still can maintain full use of Valvetronic and Dual VANOS. Can run Valvetronic locked in full open position when using an aftermarket throttle body. Must have valve spring upgrade.

288° / 288° - 10.35mm / 10.80mm Valve Lift

288° Stage 3 drag racing cams for professionally built B58 Gen 1 engines making 1200hp+. Turbo sizing 72mm+ on high boost. Fuel type ethanol blend or methanol. Must use aftermarket high flow plenum with a throttle body conversion. Recommend locking the Valvetronic system at 100% swing. Must have valve spring upgrade.
