CNC Cylinder Head Stud Conversion

If you’re building a S58 engine that’s going to see 1200HP+, the way your head studs are set up is critical.

We CNC machine cylinder heads to properly convert them for larger head studs, making sure everything is aligned, consistent, and accurately positioned. This isn’t a quick drill job or a “close enough” fitment. It’s done on a CNC machine so the geometry is exactly where it needs to be every time.

Some shops will simply drill the holes by hand, and while that may work for mild setups, it introduces unnecessary risk. Even small misalignment, inconsistent depth, cracks, or uneven threading can turn into issues once the engine is under pressure.

With CNC machining, each hole is centered correctly, cut to the proper depth, and finished clean so the washer inset and nuts seat properly and clamp evenly across the entire cylinder head.

Important note: oversized head studs and block conversion hardware must be used together for proper fitment and function.

It’s a small detail in the machining process, but it makes a big difference in how the engine holds up when it counts.
