Long Rod Kit

Unique to CP-Carrillo is the optional long rod kit. Because this engine utilizes a long compression height and large 24mm factory pin diameter, the engineers at CP-Carrillo designed a special long rod kit, which uses a 22mm pin diameter and saves 50g on piston weight. By choosing the long rod kit, reciprocating mass is reduced for improved overall rod ratio for longer bearing lift and reduced piston skirt wear via reduced side loads. Drivers will also benefit from increased top end horsepower and an engine that is quicker to rev. These rods also include pin-end pocket upgrade (relieves peak stresses at the 6 o’clock position of the pin bore). Only compatible with corresponding CP Pistons, available here.

NOTE: Will NOT Work with factory OEM Pistons!
