TX2K 2025: A Week of Speed, Records, and 5150 Family

TX2K 2025: A Week of Speed, Records, and 5150 Family

TX2K 2025 is in the books, and what an unforgettable week it was! The 5150 AutoSport US Team had the honor of being joined by our South African, United Kingdom, and Saudi Arabian team members at the Texas Motorplex, creating a truly global presence for this iconic event.

Celebrating Our 5150 Drivers

We were thrilled to cheer on some of our incredible 5150 drivers throughout the event. Mike Botti introduced the world to his freshly built 3.4L MKV Supra, while Brian Shull of Applied Torque Solutions pushed limits in his 3.4L S58-swapped Supra. Rick from MLife showcased his built G80 M3, Bernard took the track with his 3.4L S58, and we even caught up with our friend Sandor Gyorgy, who was making passes in his turbo E36 M3. Each run was a testament to the hard work and passion these drivers pour into their builds.

Record-Breaking Moments

One of the biggest highlights of the week came from the R44 G87 M2. Not only did they reset their own world record, but they did it twice, ultimately laying down an astonishing 8.24-second quarter-mile time. Witnessing that achievement firsthand was an experience we won’t forget.

Engineering Excellence on Display

The RK Autowerks team brought some serious engineering to the 5150 booth, showcasing three beautifully built engines: a B58, an S58, and a McLaren 720. But the real showstopper was their brand-new Billet S58 Block, making its debut at TX2K. Seeing the craftsmanship and innovation up close was a highlight for enthusiasts and builders alike.

Gratitude to Our Partners

None of this would have been possible without the support of our amazing partners. Huge thanks to ARP, CP-Carrillo, Ferrea Racing Components, Precision Turbo, RK Autowerks, Kelford Cams, SuperTech Performance, LinkECU, and Manley Performance for showing us love and helping make our booth a hub of activity and knowledge sharing.

Reflecting on an Unforgettable Event

As the dust settles and the adrenaline fades, what stands out most is the community. TX2K 2025 was about more than just records and fast cars — it was about connecting with people who share a passion for pushing boundaries. From the track to the paddock, the energy was electric, and we’re already counting down the days until next year.
