Cutting a $10,000 BMW S58 Cylinder Head IN HALF

As a part of our ongoing commitment to excellence, research, and development, we’ve pretty much lost our minds and, well… cut a $10,000 BMW S58 cylinder head in half.

Why would we do such a thing and what drove us to this level of insanity? New product and service development. You see, one of the ways that we help drivers to unleash greater power, flow, and efficiency, is cylinder head modification. This means the careful, CNC removal and modification of rough factory material from the port walls, valve seats, and combustion chambers to achieve greater cylinder head capacity and maximum airflow.

In order to understand how much material we can --and should-- safely remove before interfering with factory cooling jackets, we first need to understand how much material there is to begin with and understand the internal structure of your factory cylinder head. The result? Optimized CNC Cylinder Head Programs that prioritize performance, durability, and airflow that exceed factory engine performance limits.

In other words, we HAD to cut a $10,000 cylinder head in half, in order to determine the limits of the S58 cylinder head, locating potential weak points, understanding cooling efficiency, and assessing material weakness. The result? A performance-optimized CNC Cylinder Head Program that exceeds competitors' performance, durability, and airflow.
